Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth - Exceeding Excellence

Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV) was conceptualised in 2016, the birth centenary year of the inspirational Visionary and Founder of Chinmaya Mission, renowned Vedantic master and teacher par excellence, Swami Chinmayananda. On 16 January 2017, CVV was notified as a deemed-to-be-university in the 'de novo' category. The University has been established as a torchbearer for the preservation of Indian cultural heritage and its knowledge traditions through higher education.

Founded on the principles of Purity, Spirituality, Practicality and Innovation, CVV’s core mission is to blend the ancient and time-tested wisdom of India with present-day knowledge fields. It is breaking new ground where necessary and adopting the merits of all that has come before but always leaning towards the winds of innovation.

UG and PG Programmes

Striking a careful balance between Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS), CVV offers several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in areas ranging from Sanskrit, Advaita Vedanta, Applied Psychology, Business Administration, Commerce, Teacher Education, Hindustani Music, Law, Public Policy, and Vocational Studies in Tourism, Data Analytics and Renewable Energy Management, as well as a Ph.D. programme, along with unique electives and supplementary subjects, with the intent to mould the youth of today into well-rounded, responsible, value-grounded, young adults that contribute to the nation, and the world at large.

The University has acquired nearly 60 acres of land close to the present campus and is in the process of constructing a new state-of-the-art, vibrant campus that will support its growth for the next twenty years. With Gurudev’s blessings, it will only grow from strength to strength.

CVV Campuses

CVV currently operates from two campuses: the headquarters, referred to as the Chinmaya Eswar Gurukula (CEG) campus, (in Ernakulam, Kerala, India) and the Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula (CNBG) campus, (in Pune, Maharashtra, India).

CVV is the result of the satya sankalpa of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. He envisioned this institution over decades before it fructified. Therefore it is our responsibility to join this Indian knowledge renaissance and make a positive change, for now, and for our future. For details visit: www.cvv.ac.in
