Born to a father whom she hails as her initial inspiration into the path of spirituality and nationhood, Brni. Bharathi Chaitanya was introduced to Annai Sharadha Devi, Swami Vivekananda, Rani Lakshmi bai among many other spiritual and national leaders. In such an environment with strong roots in Hindu Spiritual Organizations, Brni. Bharathi Chaitanya grew up with a determination to adopt such a life herself.
One day her father brought her family to Thiruvallur to listen to talks on the Bhagavad Geeta by Br. Srinivasa Chaitanya (presently Swami Sivayogananda). This was her exposure to a discourse on the Geeta. She listened intently and was deeply inspired. The very next year, when her father and his group members organised a Geeta Gyana Yagna by Swami Sivayogananda in Sriperumbudur, she gained another opportunity to learn about Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. This continued for two more years. During another yajna by Swamiji he announced that he was going to conduct a 2 years Vedanta course in Coimbatore. This sparked a turn in her. Simultaneously Tara Cultural Trust and CCMT, Mumbai also invited seekers for the 2 years Vedanta course and she joined at Mumbai in 2014 and completed the course. Though she was initially unsure about attending the course, she was eventually determined and applied for the course. Though her father's attachment to her was strong, he gave it up for a noble cause knowing that she was in the right path and in the right fold.
Upon completion of the Vedanta course and rooted firmly in her Svadhyaya, Brni. Bharathi Chaitanya has been sharing with the seekers, knowledge of several spiritual texts such as the Bhagavad Geeta, Vivekachoodamani and Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra. She has also been conducting classes in Chennai, Devi group and study group at Chinmaya Mission, Vellore. She has also inspired some bhakthas into conducting Vilakku Pooja on every Purnima and into chanting Sri Lalita Sahasranamam every friday.
